Week 10

Some helpful advice I would share with someone writing a scientific paper is, to allow yourself plenty of time to do research, writing, and revising. I found this project to be very time consuming. It took up more of my time than I thought it would. I would like to say bye to everyone that has been on this journey with me including you professor. You have been a great teacher! Good luck to everyone in whatever road you choose. I am finally graduating YEAH!

Week 9

Now with my paper almost done I feel relieved. I always carry a lot of weight on my shoulders when I have huge tasks to complete. Now that I am almost done the weight is getting lighter, and I can see the end of the tunnel. I will be really relieved when my paper is graded and handed back to me. I have to admit I do get really nervous not knowing how I did on something. It is even worse not knowing this term since; this is the end of the road for me. I am done with my schooling and will be graduating after this class! This class and paper will determine for the first time in my life, whether or not I will graduate with honors. I relieved some tension by finishing my paper but now I am adding some tension back on because, I will be stressed out until I know what my grade is on this paper. I will be praying!

Week 8

I just want to say to my fellow classmates, that I do not plan to continue blogging after this course is complete! It is not because I dislike anyone however, for me I find blogging more of a chore than a fun experience. This takes quality time away from my family when I could be doing something else. Plus, I am not one to sit in front of a computer all day, IT IS BORING! I still have a hard time getting around in the blog, and not sure how to do a lot of things. I have stumbled upon; by accident; how to follow my own blog but can’t seem to follow anyone else’s. I have tried several times to click on the “Follow” button but it never works. I have to go into each person’s individual blog in order to read it. This is very frustrating and time consuming. I can’t wait to be done with blogging!

Week 7

What do I think of peer review? I think having a peer review your paper is a good experience. This lets someone else with a fresh set of eyes pick up on your mistakes. It is funny how someone that reads your paper can pick your mistakes almost instantly but, it can take you hours to find one mistake. Peer review also gives criticisms or ideas, which in turn you can decide whether to change the focus of your paper or to in-corporate fresh and new ideas. I think my overall experience with peer review has been helpful. My peer’s critique and suggestions were helpful in generating new ideas or concepts that I might not thought of, and could potentially help me with my paper.

Week 6

I have had a lot of things on my mind this week. I have a lot of homework due in my other classes plus an outline, and a rough draft of my final paper for this class is due before Tuesday. I usually get a lot accomplished over the weekend but, due to the holiday (Easter) I will have less time to accomplish my homework. I will have no time Sunday due to activities. The Easter Bunny comes in the morning, which means the kids are finding eggs and wanting to eat their candy. I have to get the kids ready for church, get to church on time, and after church it’s off to the in-laws for Easter dinner.
I tried to get my homework done during the week but, I was interrupted every ten minutes by the kids wanting or needing something. My kids really want my attention lately. I think it is because I have been so in-depth with my homework and going to school lately. I am praying for a miracle that tomorrow (Saturday) I can just sit down with no interruptions and get something accomplished. Please pray for me everyone lol.
